And this black kouki ("Twiggy") is my "real drift car" project.
It's been awhile since my last post because less than two months ago my life was completely different. Derek and I moved into a lot better situation with our new place. Rent is affordable, we have massive amounts of space and the ability to walk down some stairs to work on our cars. We are thankful and I plan on maximizing the convenience of having our new location to finish this S14 in a timely manner.
Interior is stripped bare so wiring can be finished for the SR20DET.

Cut and pounded the lip in the wheelwells for full-lock clearance later.....
My homemade power brace worked out really well.
May not be the best but it's gonna do great for me. I have crash tested this model before and it held up great.....!!
I have never seen anyone pit bars in here. It just made sense thinking about where force on the chassis is coming from and going while drifting
I'm pretty happy about the M.C. subframe design. I added a 32mm bar inbetween/inline with the toe rods. I boxed the bottom of the toe rod opening and added some solid aluminum diff bushings.
I relocated my subframe up 10mm on the rear two subframe bushings and 15mm on the front two subframe bushings.....
*Side note:Derek and I thought this idea up BEFORE any companies released it as a kit. Since there were no kits on the market at the time we wanted to try this idea ,we used M.M.R. rear subframe bushings just flipping them upside down! I'm pretty proud of us.

I also do art. This is a self portrait. Pencil and pastels. (Yes, my hair can get that long)The assignment was to do a life-size self portrait as my favorite TV show character so I drew myself as Spike from "Cowboy Bebop". One guy in my class drew himself as Jack Bauer from the show "24". It looked like a smiley face with a mullet. Some people need to not be in art class.

This tire is significant to me only because this happened to me 24 hours after I bought my S14 in 2005. I just went out and slid the absolute piss out of the poor thing. I'm just happy to have the first tire that I blew up on my S14 still. I think I'm going to bronze it.
